Nurturing the Mother
This a 24 CE and Certification course in Pregnancy, and Postpartum Massage. Additionally included within this course is:- Anatomy and Physiology for Pregnancy and Birth
- Pregnancy Massage demonstration and practice
- Cautions and Contraindications for pregnancy massage
- Guidelines for pregnancy massage for each trimester
- Massage for High Risk moms
- Massage for Labor
- Massage on a pregnant volunteer
- Postpartum Massage using the principles of Mother Roasting,
- Birth videos shown to increase of awareness of the birth journey
- Introduction to Newborn and Infant Massage
- How to teach a Nurturing the Pregnant Couple Class including Prenatal Yoga for Couples
- A Simple Shiatsu session that you teach the pregnant mom to give her partner
- Learn about Rituals as a tool for empowerment for the mom and family, these are The Blessingway Navaho Birth Ceremony and the Birth Beads
- How to marketing your skills, along with access for .ready to use. brochures and listing on the Nurturing the Mother website
- Extensive resources are given for books, websites and informational groups surrounding pregnancy, birth and family
- A Practical Assessment given when you massage a pregnant volunteer during the workshop.
- Written Assessment completed by the end of the course and reviewed in class.
- 24 Continuing Education hours and Nurturing the Mother Pregnancy Massage Certification given at completion of the course.
- The verbal story of when you were born. For some of you this may be difficult. You may try asking a relative for their earliest memory of your birth or infancy.
- Bring your massage table. We will need one table per two therapists. Please check with the school/site when you register if you need to bring a massage table.
- Dress professionally on the day with volunteer massages. (2nd day of 3 day workshop)
- Bring three sets of linens. Include a towel or pillowcase for a breast drape.
- Bring three to four pillows, the long body pillow is excellent.
- Bring oil or lotion, unscented is preferred.
- Bring a doll or stuffed animal for infant massage.
- Bring a blanket or sleeping mat on the day of shiatsu.

Nurturing the Mother Spa Pregnancy Massage Certification 16 CE
This course is designed for spas that request an onsite training for their staff. Their clients will either be vacationing or coming regularly to their spa to receive pregnancy massage. This is tailored into a 2 day training for destination spas or day spas. This course includes Pregnancy, and Postpartum Massage. Additionally included within this course is:- Anatomy and Physiology for Pregnancy and Birth
- Cautions and Contraindications for pregnancy massage
- Guidelines for massage for each trimester
- May include if possible, a pregnancy massage on a pregnant volunteer
- Birth videos shown to increase of awareness of the birth journey
- A Practical Assessment given when you massage a pregnant volunteer during the workshop.
- Written Assessment completed by the end of the course and reviewed in class.
- 16 Continuing Education hours and Nurturing the Mother Spa Pregnancy Massage Certification given at completion of the course.
- What you will need to bring to the Nurturing the Mother Spa Pregnancy Massage Workshop.

Nurturing the Mother Introduction to Pregnancy Massage 6 CE
This course is designed for a short training that may fit for massage conventions, or group meetings. This course includes Pregnancy, and Postpartum Massage. Additionally included within this course is- Anatomy and Physiology for Pregnancy and Birth,
- Cautions and Contraindications for pregnancy massage.
- Guidelines for pregnancy massage for each trimester.
- 6 Continuing Education hours given at completion of the course.
- Bring your massage table. We will need one table per two therapists. Please check with the school/site when you register if you need to bring a massage table.
- Bring two sets of linens. Include a towel or pillowcase for a breast drape.
- Bring three to four pillows, the long body pillow is excellent.
- Bring oil or lotion, unscented is preferred.

Fertility Massage Specialist Certification 16 CE
This course is the extension and expansion of teaching fertility massage for many years within the Nurturing the Mother® massage training. My students who were my demonstration models in the workshop Nurturing the Mother often conceived post the fertility massage demonstration. Lynette Ivanov of Lincoln, NE conceived the night of her fertility massage after three years of trying. Janelle Marr of Omaha, NE never had another menstrual cycle after one year of trying. Cinthy Getz Harner of Winchester, VA also conceived after many years of trying within a menstrual cycle. These are only of few of the many women and stories of success with this massage protocol. Claire's students have been able to reproduce positive results with the Fertility massage techniques. Ann-Marie Dameron of Kannapolis, NC has successfully supported 10 out of 12 women in there journey into motherhood using the fertility massage techniques. The MOM spa in Charleston, SC has reported over 30 successful conceptions (full term and healthy babies).The information and techniques included within the course are:
- A combination of cranial sacral alignment holds
- Castor oil packs and Colon cleansing
- Deep pelvic work to release pelvic congestion
- Reflexology for the reproductive, digestive and endocrine areas
- Anatomy of the reproductive systems for the male and female
- Understanding the ovulation charting methods
- Causes for Fertility challenges for the male and female
- Understanding Assisted Reproductive Technology (A.R.T.)
- Aromatherapy for fertility, created by Cynthia Loving just for Claire’s class (available for purchase in class)
- Understanding the powerful emotional and spiritual aspects of this process for your clients
- How to marketing your skills, along with access for “ready to use” brochures and listing on the Nurturing the Mother website
- Recommendations for other support with OB/GYN’s, nutritionists, herbalists and acupuncturists
- You will learn how to teach partners to do this massage on each other either privately on in a Consciously Conceiving Couples workshop.
Certification Requirements
- There is a Certification Fee of $30, paid when you send in all your completed material.
The required reading, and written portion for each book is necessary to complete certification along with one case study. Information will be given in class for the case study. - Cotton flannel (I cut up old sheets) or a hand towel that is 100% cotton.
- Hot Water bottle – you may get that at a drug store.
